Age: This book is good for 10 and older.

Author: Rick Riodan

Summary:

Jason Grace, a Greek demigod (the child of a god and a mortal), wakes up with no memory of himself or anyone else around him. He goes to the Greek Camp-Half Blood, a safe haven for kids like him with his friends, Leo Valdez and Piper Mclean, two people he has no memory of. This group of friends travel across the world to stop the giant king, Porphyrion, from rising. All the way across the world in Berkley Hills, California, Percy Jackson wakes up with no memory, like Jason Grace. Unlike Jason, Percy goes to Camp Jupiter, the Roman equivalent to Camp-Half Blood, which follows the Greek customs, not Roman. Percy goes on a treacherous journey with his new friends, Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang to free Thanatos, the Greek god of death and save the world from Gaea, the goddess of the earth. These two groups of friends eventually meet up and team together on a dangerous mission to defeat the goddess of the earth.

How I like this book:

This book was amazing. Rick Riordan was so smart to fuse the Roman gods and the Greek gods together to make a breathtaking series. This book is very good for 11 to 14 year olds. Although there is some violence in this book, I wouldn't take this book away from your kids because of it.
